Barb: The U.K. is facing record unemployment with more than 3 million people out of work. Prime Minister Thatcher is committing to put Britons back to work and promises to continue building up business rather than letting her country fall to socialism.
Robert: As President Reagan looks to refocus in the second year of his presidency, the crisis in Afghanistan rages on. The Mujahideen are pushing back and the Soviets continue to suffer losses but unfortunately the Communists have not been expelled.
Barb: Excuse me, HOLD up, HOLD UP Robert, we have some breaking news
Iraqi Health Minister Dr. Riyadh Ibrahim was shot and has died. Early reports indicate Iraqi President Saddam Hussein ordered his death. The doctor had recently suggested pursuing the peace process with Iran to end the war between the two warring countries.
